25 Things You Don’t Know About Corie

CorieCorie is the assistant manager/pen buyer at Vroman’s Fine Writing, Gifts, and Stationery. She’s been working here for over five years! Here are 25 things you don’t know about her:

  1. My middle name is Utako (which means “Song Child” in Japanese).
  2. Singin' in the Rain One of my favorite movies of all time is “Singing in the Rain”.
  3. I have a tattoo.
  4. My first car was a manual while ’85 Chevy Blazer named “Moby” (like the whale).
  5. I enjoy participating in charity walks (i.e. Avon Walk, Aids Walk, etc.)
  6. I have 1 older sister.
  7. I won first place in my first horseback riding competition when I was 13.
  8. When I was younger I was a problem child who, before the age of 12…
  9. … Fractured my wrist…
  10. … Stepped on an “unknown” sharp object that went through my foot in the ocean…
  11. … Had to have a cyst removed from my temple (and not the Amazonian kind, the head kind).
  12. platypusI used to be a vegetarian for 6 years, although
  13. I LOVE the smell of leather (Ironic considering #12)
  14. I am one of 24 cousins.
  15. I have always wanted to own a platypus; they’re so cool!
  16. The farthest I’ve traveled is to Minnesota!
  17. I donated my hair to Locks of Love… I would say a good foot length.
  18. I am a Gemini and a Tiger… Grrr Roar!
  19. I have a love for all animals and one day hope to be an “Animaltarian”!
  20. I used to have my tongue pierced.
  21. Phantom TollboothWhen I was a kid I wanted to be a famous singer/actor/director.
  22. I’ve always wanted to travel to Ireland and Japan.
  23. One of my favorite books is The Phantom Tollbooth!
  24. I love eating, especially BBQ!!
