Yes, another link post. You know you love them anyway.
- WARNING: SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION! Edan Lepucki writes about purging her (our) book collection at The Millions. “I also felt strongly that our books revealed to visitors our values and our identities; the fact that we were swimming in them emphasized their importance in our lives. The first thing I look at when I walk into someone’s home is their bookshelf.”
- Sleep Talkin’ Man is one woman’s hilarious blog of all the things her husband says in his sleep. Such as: “Oompa loompas don’t sing in heaven. They tidy up the clouds.”
- Eat Your Books is pretty ingenious: a website that will analyze all the recipes in the cookbooks you own and tell you if you have a recipe for the food in your pantry. It will also help you plan menus, make shopping lists, and much more. So often, I find myself pouring over my cookbooks to find something to eat. The result is that I tend to use two or three cookbooks at a time while other cookbooks go unused forever.
- Lastly, check out the incredible trailer filmmaker Jamieson Fry made T. C. Boyle’s book The Women. It’s prettier than any movie I saw in the theaters last year. (Fry is the filmmaker who made Dan Chaon’s Await Your Reply trailer, as well.)

Oh wow, that trailer for The Women is outstanding. I haven’t been much of a fan for the book trailers, but that one sucked me in.
Here’s something I’ve been wondering: Is T. Boyle’s tavern in Pasadena owned by or associated with TC Boyle?
