Back in the fall, we asked you to name your favorite local businesses, and you responded. We received dozens of nominations in all sorts of categories, so many, in fact, that it’s taken us a while to sort them all out. But sort them we have, and we’re happy to announce the winners in some categories (where there was unanimous support). In other categories, we’re asking for your help. Vote for the winner in each category by emailing us (email@vromansbookstore.com) or coming into the store (visit the Info desk of any Vroman’s location). One vote per category per person.
We will profile the winner in each category on this blog, including the business’s history and a look at what makes it so special.
Voting will run from now until the close of business on Friday, February 20. Happy voting!

Nothing is cuter than Motif merchandise (except maybe the owner) – You have to check it out!

I love buying gifts for my Mom at Motif. There isn’t a better store. My vote is for Motif
Motif is the best! No question.
I really wish I had known about this because there is no way that Lucky Baldwin’s should be crowned best bar *anywhere*. Yuck.
I second incycle as the best bike shop! Also, Jones Coffee for sure!
UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCES-LOVE THE COFFEE AT JONES’S .
FOR YEARS I WONDERED WERE THIS COFFEE ROASTING AROMA CAME FROM UNTIL I VENTURED INTO JONES’S. HAD NO IDEA WHAT A BARRISTA WAS. wELL I DO NOW, AND IT TRULY IS AN ART TO CREATE THE PERFECT FLAVOR.
ENJOY!!!!!
Jones Coffee is definitely the best coffee shop in Pasadena……..great coffee, great people, great ambiance. It also has space, music, and good pastries.
Ann
Jones offers wonderful coffees and teas too. Beyond great coffees, the shop is welcoming with good service and ambiance. Online orders are given equal attention and arrive within 2 days of the order. Now that’s genuine service.
We are so flattered to have been nominated and are thrilled with the positive comments. I would be terribly remiss if I didn’t vote for the great job that son, Chuck, has done, the talented Baristas that make it happen and the wonderful customers that make it all sooooo special.
I go for Tarantinos, Magnolia (bar), Zeli (coffee place), Book Alley and Pie N Burger.
