Edan: I’ll try to bring Patrick’s wife (i.e. you) up when I can, although I feel like it will probably be more of a challenge for me than for him. We’ll see, I suppose. Home life, however, I can do! I’ll keep it in mind.

I’ve been mulling over your question. It was mentioned that you read some SF/F? Don’t be afraid to talk about or mention genre fiction once in a while. I know it’s not Vroman’s speciality (and Patrick was self-admittedly not into genre stuff), but we’re out there!

Oh, and I love Edan’s idea of a personal approach!

Personally, I liked when Patrick talked about his wife. I happen to be his wife…but, you know, that’s just a coincidence. Really, though, I’d love to get a little about your home life on this blog, and how that affects and influences your reading life and your work life.

Some Ideas:
Don’t think you have to limit this to books.
Continue food contests like the cupcake challenge. Food is good for bringing people out & about.
