- This Recording is counting down the 100 greatest writers of all time. Lists like this are, by definition, ridiculous, but anybody who puts Hemingway way down at 81 is okay in my book. Argue with them here.
- I enjoyed this roundtable of music bloggers at The Morning News, where they discuss everything from the history of music blogging, blogger burnout (I feel you, dawgs), and the future (or lack there of) of paid content. It’s a great read.
- Via the Millions: The Booker Longlist is out, with odds, and causing — shock! — controversy. I will point out that we hosted Sarah Waters for her longlisted book The Little Stranger, and we have plans to host Dame A.S. Byatt in October for The Children’s Book.

Hemmingway does suck. He’s always ripping off Hemingway.
What’s funny is, every time I’ve ever written Hemingway’s name, I’ve always misspelled it. Even when I check. Shows how much I respect him.
