When I posted our most recent video, a Valentine’s Greeting from Vroman’s, I thought “Man, that was easy to make.” I should’ve taken it a step further: Why don’t you make one, too? Here’s the deal:
- Make a short video of yourself reading your favorite romantic/steamy/lovey passage from fiction or poetry. You can probably do this with the web camera on your laptop, or with a flip camera (that’s what we used), or with a digital camcorder, or even with your cell phone.
- Post it to the web via YouTube or Vimeo.
- Come back here and leave a comment on this post.
After Valentine’s Day, we’ll check back here and watch all the videos. Sound like fun? I think so, too. Anybody participating will get special love from me and the whole Vroman’s crew.
(Thanks to @minorheroine for the awesome idea. I wish I’d thought of it.)

I’m in the process of informing my fellow book/Vroman’s lovers.
But here’s mine!

Had a very hard time choosing a passage… first chose Princess Bride… well played, Danica… moved on to the Decameron… realized that while hilarious, would not be allowed to post it on my site… thought the Giving Tree, but too obvious…
Here’s where I ended up… Happy Valentine’s!
