Since one can never get enough Neko Case, Edan at The Millions explores the literary inspirations for Case’s most recent album Middle Cyclone, and then speculates on what effect music has had on her novel-in-progress.

Jacket Copy is currently running a series in which it asks various independent booksellers to recommend a good book for this spring.  Today’s recommendation is from the talented Michele Filgate, events coordinator at RiverRun Bookstore in Portsmouth, NH.  She recommends Kate Christensen’s new novel Trouble.  See, I’m not the only one.

We are looking for recommendations for the next Online Book Club.  So far the front runners are Watchmen and The Hunger Games.  Check in at the Vroman’s Facebook page to offer your suggestions.  Speaking of Watchmen, the movie adaptation comes out tomorrow.  On Monday, we will be subjected to at least ten blog posts with titles like “Who Watched The Watchmen?”  Great.
