See Me at the 140 Characters Conference

by Patrick on October 23, 2009

It’s going to be a light week here next week, as I’m going to be rocking the Governor’s Conference on Women down in Long Beach.  Vroman’s is the official bookstore of the conference, and I’m scheduled to be down there for the first few days of the week.  If you’re going to the conference, be sure to stop by the bookstore and say hi.

On Wednesday, I have the privilege of appearing on a panel at the 140 Characters Conference (#140conf).  My panel is called I Tweet Therefore I Am: Where Do Personal Identity and Brand Identity Meet?, and it is at 2:05 on Wednesday at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.  If you’re coming to the conference, you absolutely must come to my panel.  It will be rocking.  But don’t come for me; my fellow panelists are Mark Tauber, publisher of HarperOne (@MarkTauber), Debbie Stier from Harper Studio (@debbiestier) (Debbie set the whole thing up and is one of the really forward-thinking people in publishing) and actress and writer Mariel Hemingway (@marielhemingway).  I am, of course, @vromans.

In the meantime, I thought I’d open this post up to you all to comment on a very simple but important question:  What have you read lately that you’d like to recommend to everyone?  It can be a book (obviously), a blog, an article…anything really.  Let’s open it up and get some interesting conversations started, and I’ll see you all on Thursday.  Have a great week.
